It consolidates three existing Bosch sites, providing customer service and training for the company’s north of England heating and hot water installers.

A 21,150 sq ft workshop and a 9,300 sq ft training area, including seminar rooms and office space, are also part of the new site, which is the size of two football pitches.

Speaking at the launch event, Peter Fouquet, president of Bosch in the UK, said: “This new facility is a major investment for Bosch and represents not only our commitment to the region, but is also part of our continued drive to provide enhanced service and training to our customers.

“This new addition brings the total number of Bosch sites in the UK to 42.”

The new facility is part of an expansion drive by the company, which has opened two automotive engineering sites in the Midlands and a training centre in Uxbridge, Middlesex.
