Shops at The Ridings were among thousands to close in March as part of the UK-wide lockdown.

But under current rules, non-essential retailers will be allowed to open from Monday, June 15 - provided they follow new government guidelines.

Under new rules, customers will need to follow social distancing measures in shops, with some chains saying they will limit the number of customers allowed inside at one time.

Frequent hand washing will be encouraged, and customers will be discouraged from touching things before buying, wherever possible.

In the latest update on their website, the Ridings warned that a one-way system will be in place in the centre as it reopens.

Some shops will also operate on different opening hours, and customers are advised to contact stores before travelling.

Other shopping centres, including Junction 32 Outlet Centre and Trinity Walk, have also confirmed their plans.

The full list of stores confirmed as opening from June 15 is as follows:

Primark

Transform Images

F. Hinds (from Tuesday, June 16)

Morgana and Hellraiser

Made & Found in Yorkshire

Yours Clothing

Poundland

Niche Handbags

Wakefield Hospice (from Wednesday, July 1)

The list will be updated over the coming weeks, and customers are advised to check the Ridings' website and social media for the latest updates.
