Wakefield Council workers and teachers to walk out on strike
Wakefield Council workers and teachers will be among hundreds of thousands of local government staff to walk out on strike next month.
Unison members will hold the strike action on Thursday, July 10 in support of better pay.
Dave Prentis, Unison general secretary, said:“We have a clear majority for strike action so a one day strike will go ahead on 10 July.
“We expect to be joined in that action by other unions in local government and will be campaigning amongst our members for maximum support on that day.”
