Work starts on two warehouses that will create 500 jobs

Logistics company PLP has begun construction on the 16-acre development plot which is directly adjacent to J40 on the M1 within Silkwood Business Park.

The speculative development will see a 75,000 sq ft and a 236,000 sq ft warehouse built with work expected to be completed by April next year.

JF Finnegan has been appointed as main contractor for the scheme.

Established in 2015, PLP is a specialist UK logistics and industrial property business.

The firm develops, manages and owns UK logistics real estate with in-house management across all key capabilities including acquisitions and sourcing, development, leasing and asset management.
