So, on Saturday April 25, he conducted a livestream of one of his DJ sets and asked those watching to donate.

Ross said: “I did my first ever livestream in order to try and raise some money for the NHS Charities Together whilst having a bit of fun along the way and hopefully both entertainment and enjoyment for those watching.

“I set up a fundraising page where people could donate as little as £2 up to however much they wanted.

“I made an event on Facebook and spread the word through my social media links and the events I work for.”

Ross set up the event a week in advance to promote the livestream and encourage donations.

On the night, around 5000 viewers tuned in to watch him perform.

Ross said: “To make it engaging for anybody viewing and to encourage people to donate more, I decided to make some rules.

“The rules were every £10 donated, I would do a shot or down my drink in hand whilst DJing live online.

“To further this, I made some drinking rules for the viewers at home, so that they could join in with the fun too.”

Ross, with the help of his Dad, raised £1,200 over the course of the livestream and says he’s very happy with what he’s achieved.

Ross said: “Anyway, I did the stream going through a range of genres and subgenres in order to keep the viewers engaged, along with the rules obviously.

“The stream blew up and so did the donations, overall, we raised £1,233, the stream had nearly 5000 viewers and the feedback was unreal.

“I really wanted to do my bit during this tough time for everyone, so I am really happy with how everything went but I couldn't have done this without my dad, he kept the viewers entertained more than I ever could.”
