Wakefield Council has thanked the public for their hard work in helping lower rates of Covid-19 in the district. These are all the testing centres and vaccination sites in operation in Wakefield and the Five Towns, as of Tuesday, February 16. Anyone displaying Covid-19 symptoms is urged to get a test by visiting nhs.uk/coronavirus or calling 119. Coronavirus vaccines are being offered by the NHS to a number of priority groups. Over-65s, those classed as clinically extremely vulnerable and frontline health and social care workers can book their vaccine appointments on the NHS website here.

The local testing delivery service is available from Monday to Friday and bookings for appointments can be made at www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test or by calling 01924 224497.

A permanent Covid-19 test site opened at Castleford Swimming Pool on Thursday, February 11, 2021. Speaking at the time, Wakefield Council said the site would "make testing even more accessible for our residents." The site is accessible on foot, but appointments must be made in advance.
