New care home will create 100 jobs in South Elmsall

The home, which will be built by care firm Exemplar Health Care, will support 30 adults who need specialist nursing care and are living with a complex neuro or physical disability.

The care home, on Ash Grove, is set to open in October.

Charlotte Lloyd, Commissioning Director at Exemplar Health Care, sai:: “We’re pleased to announce we are investing in our first specialist care home for the Pontefract area.

“This community-based home will provide person-centered care and rehabilitation that focuses on maximising independence, building everyday living skills, and empowering people to live as fulfilled lives as possible.

“It is extremely rewarding to be able to support 30 local people with complex health needs, and to provide around 100 stable and local jobs.

"As well as providing employment opportunities, there are plans in place to help Bennett Court become part of the local community.

"It’s our ambition for Bennett Court to be a place where we host community events, and where our residents can be part of the community, whether through work placements, local events or volunteering.”
