NHS protest in Wakefield by action group 38 Degrees

Campaigners against funding cuts and privatisation in the NHS will gather in Wakefield city centre tomorrow (Saturday).

The national action group 38 Degrees will hold a public meeting outside Wakefield Cathedral from 11am.

NHS campaigners are concerned that parts of the health service are being sold off to private companies while the overall budget is being reduced.

The action group will be gathering names on a Save the NHS petition at tomorrow’s meeting.

The petition will be delivered to parliamentary candidates in the run up to the general election in May.
