Photographer, Daniel Miles, 32, of Colliers Court has been running around the estate dressed as Spider Man every Thursday evening, dropping off sweets for the children and putting a smile on his neighbour's faces.

His efforts are to raise money for the Radio Aire charity, Cash For Kids, who help disadvantaged children across the county.

Daniel said: “I go around the estate with a bucket during the Thursday night clap to show appreciation, I wave and drop off sweets for the children while collecting donations in a bucket for the Cash For Kids Charity.

“I wanted to donate to the NHS initially, but I wanted to help out a charity a bit closer to home and Cash For Kids raises money for children going through tough times - during lockdown some of them will have no escape.”

Daniel first began dressing up as Spider Man as a Comic Con photographer and from there he became known as the ‘Friendly West Yorkshire Spider Man’.

During lockdown, he has also been doing doorstep photography for families, Facebook live virtual story time for children and recording personalised birthday videos for those celebrating their special day in quarantine.

Daniel said: “I’ve just been going around my estate as it stands, but a lot of people have been coming over to see me and donate.

“Soon I’ll be making my route a little bit longer to make the people of my community smile and raise some more money for a charity that means a lot to me.

“Plus, it breaks the week up for the kids and keeps them entertained, Spider Man gives them something to look forward to seeing when there’s not much for them to do at the moment.”
