Google down: Thousands report issues with Gmail, YouTube, Google Drive and more as Google services go down across the UK

Google services including Gmail, YouTube, Google Drive and more have gone down across the UK this morning, with thousands of people reporting problems with the services.

Down Detector, a tool which monitors reports of problems accessing popular online websites, has recorded more than 50,000 reports of issues with YouTube this morning, as well as a further 20,000 with YouTube.

When trying to access Gmail, users are greeted with an error message reading: "502. That’s an error.

"The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request.

"Please try again in 30 seconds. That’s all we know."

According to Down Detector, services including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Classroom, Google Maps and Google Hangouts are among those affected.

Users of Google Home devices have also reported issues.

Further problems have been reported with Discord, Next and Pokemon Go.

Problems were first reported at around 11.20am, and more than 13,000 people have tweeted with the hashtag #GoogleDown.
