Record-breaking day for estate agent

A local estate agent celebrated a record number of move-ins in one day, making it the busiest day in its history.

Staff from Linley and Simpson’s Wakefield office handed over a record-breaking 43 sets of keys to tenants moving in to new properties last Saturday.

Branch manager Ross Harding said: “This was not just the busiest day for the Wakefield branch, but the busiest one for any of the company’s 10 branches since launching 16 years ago.

“The team worked and planned hard to make sure, with military precision, it all went as smoothly as possible.

“We were there from 8am to ensure everything went according to plan, with staff who don’t normally work on a Saturday coming in to help.

“This weekend comes on the back of our busiest year for the Wakefield office, with the rise in rental demand highlighting how far the district has travelled as a popular place to live and work.”
