The district has a variety of green space, countryside and historic sites to explore this Yorkshire Day.

Yorkshire Day is celebrated every August 1, and promotes the historic county, and the beauty, of Yorkshire.

In honour of this prideful day, explore the wonderful sights across Yorkshire – more specifically Wakefield and the Five Towns.

So pack a picnic and head out to one of these nine gorgeous spots for a wholesome summertime walk.
