Accolade for multi-faceted company

Spawforths was named the Best Planning Practice at the Yorkshire Residential Property Awards 2017.

The event, hosted by Variety, the Children’s Charity, was held at Bowcliffe Hall this month, and celebrated the excellence and achievements of businesses in the Yorkshire residential property sector.

Spawforths is a multi-disciplinary practice of town planners, masterplanners, architects, landscapers and community engagement consultants, celebrating its thirtieth year in business.

The judges praised the firm for the way it advises on Government infrastructure initiatives, and for creating the Leeds Housing Group. It was highlighted that Spawforths have been an excellent facilitator in helping people to understand residential planning.

As the largest independent planning consultancy in the region that has secured the most significant housing allocations in Wakefield (2,500 homes) and Selby (900 homes) as well as draft allocations in Barnsley (1,700 homes), and Kirklees (4,000homes), Spawforths are promoting more than 50,000 homes through the planning system onbehalf of national and regional housebuilders; registered providers; small and medium size enterprises (SMEs); regeneration specialists and land promoters.
