All lanes now re-open on M1 at Wakefield after early-morning smash
All lanes are now open on the M1 following an earlier accident involving multiple vehicles.
Three lanes on the northbound carriageway were shut between J40 and J41 at Wakefield and police and fire rescue service attended.
It was first reported after 6am and delays of up to 40 minutes were being reported.
Highways Yorkshire say with all lanes re-open, the build up of traffic should ease up soon.
