Appeal to trace missing Knottingley man

Police are appealing for information to trace a missing man from Knottingley.

Peter Mason, 41, was last seen by a member of the public near the village of Burn in North Yorkshire at around 4.30pm yesterday.

He was driving a blue Dacia Duster 4x4-style vehicle, registration YK16XFD.

He is described as white, 5ft 11ins tall, slim, with cropped black and grey balding hair and wears glasses.

He was last seen wearing a high-visibility yellow jacket and blue jeans or trousers.

His car was later seen in the Doncaster area and near to Blyth services on the A1 in Nottinghamshire at about 6pm.

Inspector Paul Maxfield, of Wakefield District Neighbourhood Patrol, said: “We are extremely concerned for Mr Mason’s safety and urgently need to establish his current whereabouts.

“I would ask that anybody who sees him or someone matching his description or his blue Dacia Duster car contacts police as a matter of urgency on 999.”
