Artist wins a painting contract
Nigel Mason, 63, burst onto the art scene last August when he entered IN:SIGHT 2015 – a nationwide campaign to find promising artists from across the UK.
The competition, run by Washington Green Fine Art, had more than 400 entrants who were whittled down to 20 finalists.

Nigel, who now lives in Devon, was one of only three artists from IN:SIGHT 2015 chosen to work with Washington Green, who have now published his debut signed limited edition collection of works.
They are available to buy at Castle Fine Art galleries throughout the UK and a range of other leading independent art galleries. Working in oil on canvas, Nigel paints a variety of landscapes, beach scenes, and figurative works.
Nigel, pictured, said: “My work depict moments in time. Incidents, usually, between people that speak of human behaviour and relationships. They are staged in a mythical past time that evoke memory, nostalgia and an idealised existence.”
