Supermarket chain Asda has cut its petrol and diesel prices.

Asda’s national price cap on fuel will fall to 131.7p per litre for unleaded and 135.7p per litre for diesel from tomorrow.

The company said said it had reacted quickly to a reduction in wholesale costs by passing the savings on to its customers.

Asda claims the average family can now save £45 a year by filling up at its pumps.
