BBC Look North presenters will be out and about in Wakefield this week as part of their Children in Need challenge.
Presenter Amy Garcia and weatherman Paul Hudson will be on the hunt for ‘selfie stars’ in the town centre on Thursday.
Between 11am and 1.30pm, the presenters will look to get as many photographs with members of the public as possible.
They will be competing against presenters Harry Gration and Lara Rostron, who will be doing the same challenge in York.
It is part of their ‘Big Five’ Children in Need campaign – five challenges in five days, which has seen Wakefield-born Amy go head-to-head with Harry.
The first fundraiser started on Friday when the pair took to the skies to wing walk, before performing a dance routine in Leeds city centre today.
Tomorrow, they will abseil down Sheffield Hallam University’s tall Owen Building before they split up for the selfie challenge on Thursday.
The will reunite again on Friday morning for a 44-mile tandem cycle ride from Pudsey to Bradford, arriving in time for Look North’s Children in Need show on the evening.
Former Kettlethorpe High School student Amy said: “This is one of the most terrifying challenges that Harry and I have taken on.
“We are really hopeful that the people of Yorkshire come out to cheer us on along the way and help us to fundraise.
“The money that we raise will go on to make a huge difference to young people’s lives all across the UK and right here in Yorkshire.”
