A WOMAN’S collection of Mr Potato Heads will be among the weird and wonderful objects to go on display at the Hepworth Wakefield.
And other collectors can bring along their hoards to display at a special exhibition this weekend.
Becky Harlow, who works as a schools coordinator at the art gallery, has more than 30 Mr Potato Heads. The popular toy is most famous for appearing in the Toy Story movies, but originated in the 1950s in America.
Mrs Harlow, 30, will share her love for the toy during a new I Collect exhibition.
She said: “I collect Mr Potato Heads because they remind me of my childhood, I simply love them.
“I got my first Mr Potato Head as a child, back in the 80s, but didn’t really start collecting with any earnest until I was 21.
“My latest addition is this special edition Dark Knight Rises Batman Mr Potato Head, given to me by The Hepworth Wakefield team for my 30th birthday last month.”
I Collect will run tomorrow and Sunday from 10am until 4pm.
The show-and-tell weekend could include anything from stamps, family photos or holiday souvenirs to football scarves, vintage postcards and mushroom memorabilia.
