Book ahead to see Tower of London Poppies at Yorkshire Sculpture on Remembrance Sunday

Visitors who want to see the Tower of London’s touring ceramic poppy display at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park will have to book ahead for Remembrance Sunday.

The number of people visiting the park has more than doubled since the exhibition came to the West Bretton park on September 5.

And park bosses said, as a result of the increase in visitors, people will need to book tickets in advance to see exhibitions on Remembrance Sunday on November 8 and Armistice Day on November 11.

Special events are being organised on both days at 11am, and all-day tickets will cost £5.

The poppy sculptures, which went on display at the Tower of London to honour soldiers who died in the First World War, will be on show at the park until January 10.

Last month around 170 per cent more people visited the park, compared with September in the previous year.

The Poppies: Wave exhibition is touring the UK and is also on display in Northumberland and Liverpool. To book tickets contact 01924 832646.
