Boy bitten by dog in Wakefield beer garden

A THREE-YEAR-OLD boy ended up in hospital after being bitten by a dog in a beer garden.

The youngster had stitches to his lower lip and chin after the incident at Holmfield Arms in Thornes Park.

The dog is described as tan brown, black with short hair.

And police believe it could have been a German Shepherd and Lurcher cross breed.

The owner of the dog was a white woman with long dark hair, slim and she was wearing a black sleeveless top and bottoms.

She is believed to have had a second, muzzled, German Shepherd dog with her.

The incident happened on Saturday, August 11, at 4pm.
