Bus passengers injured in Wakefield city centre

BUS passengers were injured in a collision in the city centre today (Tuesday).

A car collided with an Arriva bus on at the junction of George Street and Kirkgate at 2.15pm.

A spokeswoman for West Yorkshire Police said a man was taken to Pinderfields Hospital for treatment.

Eye witnesses said two elderly women were also taken away by ambulance.
