Changes to public transport over New Year

Travel by public transport will be limited over the New Year break.

Buses will run to a Saturday timetable until 6pm tonight, except the 111 service, which will operate a Tuesday service and run between Wakefield and Pinderfield’s

Hospital only.

After 6pm, services will gradually stop running with no services at all after 8pm.

No bus services will operate in West Yorkshire on Wednesday January 1, except for the Airport Direct 757 and some free-to-use voluntary services in Kirklees and Leeds,

On the trains, a normal Tuesday service will operate today until 8pm, except East Coast will an hourly service all day.

After 8pm, services will start to be withdrawn or will terminate short of their usual destinations. No local services will run after 10pm.

On New Year’s Day, train services will start later than usual, with some cancellations.

There will be a normal Wednesday service in West Yorkshire after 7.30am, except Grand Central trains will not be running and East Coast will operate an hourly service all day.
