Chris hopes to impress on BBC's MasterChef

An entrepreneur from Sandal is set to compete in this year's MasterChef.

Chris hopes to impress the professionals in the kitchen.

Chris Hale, 29, will appear on the popular BBC One cooking show which is judged by chef John Torode and Gregg Wallace.

Chris, a former Kettlethorpe High School pupil, is currently featured in the television trail for the amateur cooking contest.

Across 25 episodes spread over seven weeks, the contestants will face culinary challenges and expert critique from Torode and Wallace as they search for the popular TV series’ 12th champion.

Out of the hundreds that auditioned, Chris is one of 40 amateur cooks that got through to battle it out in the kitchen, producing some of the most inspiring food seen on TV.

MasterChef begins on BBC One from Wednesday March 23 at 8pm.
