TRINITY SERVICE: The preacher at Trinity Methodist Church at 10.45am on Sunday is David Curtis. The evening service at 6pm will be a circuit service, when Irene Hayes, a member at Trinity, will be recognised as a fully accredited local preacher. Preacher at the service will be Irene’s husband, John Hayes, who leaves Wakefield in August to take up his first appointment as a probationer Methodist minister in the Huddersfield circuit.

TRINITY COFFEE: The next coffee morning at Trinity is on Saturday, August 13 at 10am.

COMMUNION SERVICE: At St Swithun’s on Sunday at 10.15am the proper 14 communion service will be led by the Rev Dawn Ingham, readings taken from Romans and Matthew will be by Mollie Farrar and prayers for the church, community and world will be by Debbie Allott. Refreshments will be served following the service.

COMMUNITY CAFE: At St Andrew’s Church Your Space, the community cafe, is open Monday to Thursday 10am to 2pm for light lunches, snacks and homemade cakes.

ANGLING NEWS: Eastmoor Angling Club’s next match is on Sunday, August 21. The draw will be at 7am and fishing from 7.30am until 12.30pm. Meet at the lock-keepers house. Could members inform Ron of their intention to fish. Tickets £5 which can be paid on the day.

EASTMOOR CLUB SOS: The next meeting takes place on Tuesday, August 16 at 1pm at Greenhill sheltered accommodation on Greenhill Road. The speaker is from the police. There will also be bingo, and learning to play the keyboard. Refreshments are provided at a little cost.
