YOUNG AT HEART GROUP: Young at Heart Leisure group meet every Thursday at the community centre 1.30pm to 3.30pm. The meeting on November 17 will be Christmas crafts. All men and women over 55 welcome.

ST CATHERINE’S CHURCH: Services Sunday, November 13, Remembrance Sunday, 9am communion (said). 10.15am communion for all with children’s group.Every Monday and Wednesday 8.30am morning prayer. Wednesday, November 16 9.30am communion. Rooms and catering also available for all occasions, or your own special event. Community cafe, anyone welcome, two-course lunch, drinks and snacks available at reasonable prices. Free transport for anyone unable to come alone. REMEMBERING THE FALLEN: This coming week will once again be the week of Remembrance for the fallen brave during the two world wars and other conflicts and I would urge all readers to take part in the various events taking place all over the district.

ETHICAL CHRISTMAS MARKET: Wakefield Baptist Church holds an ethical Christmas market on November 18 and 19. You will be able to buy most of your Christmas shopping knowing everything is either Fairtrade or profits are going to charity.
