LINDALE METHODISTS: The morning service at Lindale Methodist Church on Sunday at 10.30am will be led by Tony Pickard of Ossett. Rev Tony Jones will lead a Remember a Life service at 2.30pm for those people who have been bereaved over the past two years. The evening service at 6pm will be led by Rev Hugh McKee and will take the form of a time of prayer. The church leadership team will meet on Tuesday at 7pm and on Wednesday the study group will continue its series of meetings at 7.30pm. The young people’s Rock Club will meet on Thursday at 3.45pm.

FLANSHAW URC: There will be a coffee morning with a fair trade stall at Flanshaw United Reformed Church tomorrow between 10.30am and 11.30am. The service at 10.45am on Sunday will be led Anthony Dawson. The Wednesday Group will meet between 10.30am and noon and next Friday there will be a pie and peas supper at 6.30pm. The cost is £4 and tickets available from 01924 364194. A table games event will follow the supper.

AUTUMN FAIR: Colin Barnaby Court, Alverthorpe is the place to be next Friday, November 4 when an autumn fair will be held commencing at 2pm. Stalls will include cakes, white elephant, tombola and raffle. Admission is 50p and refreshments are included. All welcome.

ST PAUL’S CHURCH: This Sunday the St Paul’s congregation will be joining St Michael’s in their church at 10am for a joint service which will be led by the Rev Gerry Sykes and the Rev Meuryn Walker, one of whom will be preaching. All the uniform groups will be meeting as usual following the half-term break and Funky faith will take place in church at 3.30pm on Monday.

KIRKHAMGATE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION: The coach trip to Bakewell and Chatsworth House is now fully booked.
