WRENTHORPE METHODIST CHURCH: On Sunday at 10am the preacher will be John Hayes. Also chat room at 6pm, where you can enjoy tea, coffee, cakes and discussion following a short video.

ST ANNE’S: There will be a pulpit exchange on Sunday. Tony Jones will be taking the service at 10am and Ruth will be at Lindale Methodist church, Kirkhamgate. On Wednesday communion is at 9.15am followed by refreshments, with the church remaining open until noon.   

WRENTHORPE MISSION: Communion service is at 10.30am on Sunday, July 24 and 6.30pm is evening celebration. Tuesday, July 26, Bible study at 7.30pm, and prayer and praise is on Thursday, July 28, also at 7.30pm. 

WAKEFIELD HOSPICE: The coffee morning held at the Methodist Church Wrenthorpe last Saturday raised £295. The Wrenthorpe St John’s Fundraising Group would like to thank everyone for their support.

CROSS PROJECT: The table top sale which was to be held tomorrow at Wrenthorpe Methodist Hall, is postponed until the autumn. For more information or to book a table contact 01924 370302.

SUMMER FAIR: West Riding Nursing Home, Outwood, holds a summer fair on September 3 at 2pm. Donations of books and items are welcome, and anyone who would like to book a stall should contact 01924 826806.

WRENTHORPE SHOW: The big Wrenthorpe Show will be held in the village hall on Saturday, September 10. Now’s the time to get your vegetable and flower seeds in the ground in order to make a splendid show at the end of summer. The show also includes photographs, baking of all kinds, children’s entries, jams and chutneys. Something for everyone to enter. Show schedules will be available in August.
