DANCE: Tomorrow evening sees the first of the monthly ballroom dances arranged at Primrose Hall, Horbury, from 8pm to 11pm for ballroom dancers of all levels. Please bring your own drinks and glasses. Resident hosts will be Jean and Paul Durham who are also running dancing lessons at Primrose Hall, beginners at 7pm and improvers at 8pm. Ballroom dancing in Horbury has come to stay. Anyone requiring more information should contact Keith and Diane Forman on 01924 270809.
TAI CHI: If you are looking for gentle exercise and to improve your health and fitness, join Janet for tai chi at Horbury Library. The classes are on Monday evenings at 7.15pm to 8.30pm and Wednesday mornings from 10am to 11.15am. No special clothes or equipment is needed, just relaxed clothes and thick socks or pumps. Call Janet on 01924 261452 for more information.
POLICE: A member from your neighbourhood police team will be at the library on Westfield Road Horbury every Saturday morning from 10am to 11am.
RECYCLE: Anyone regularly using the recycling facilities at the community centre will notice the increasing numbers of piles of bottles, cardboard and clothes that have been dumped near the units. Given that the recycling skips may be full, which can be frustrating, it would be more helpful to find other facilities or call Wakefield Council on 0845 850 6506 to alert them to the problem.
