WAKEFIELD HOSPICE CONCERT: On Saturday, October 8 from 7.30 pm at Ossett Town Hall. Ossett Fund Raising Group for The Wakefield Hospice will be presenting The West Yorkshire Police Band and Skelmanthorpe Male Voice Choir who for a 3rd year are joining together to bring you a fantastic evening of music and song. Tickets for the event are now available from The Tyre House, Pretty Things dress shop, W’Mann dress shop, Special Thoughts card shop and via Barbara Kitson (Treasurer) or Carol Worrall (Secretary).
ELIZABETHANS: Tickets are now on sale at Cakes and Favours, Town End, Ossett for ‘This Thing Called Love’, which is to be presented at Ossett Town Hall by The Elizabethans on Friday, October 15 and Saturday, October 15 at 7.15pm each evening.
CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR: The Elizabethans are holding their very successful annual fair at Ossett Town Hall on Saturday, October 29 from 10 am to 1.30pm. There are still a few table left and they can be booked by emailing email@example.com for details.

CHRIST CHURCH: Will be celebrating Harvest Festival on Sunday, October 9. We invite you to join us for our service at 9am where we will be celebrating in a traditional way with Harvest Hymns. The service at 11am will be more formal but will still include a favourite Harvest Hymn. Everyone welcome. THE KING’S WAY CHURCH: The King’s Way Singers will perform their Autumn Concert tomorrow commencing 7pm. Admission is free collection for the George Oldroyd World Challenge. The recent collection for Action for Children raised £297.32. The Church is making preparations for the Autumn Fair on the October 29. Services this Sunday will be conducted at 10.30am by Mr G Kay (Wakefield) and 6pm by the Superintendent Minister Rev Richard Oldroyd this will be a service of Holy Communion.

OSSETT CRICKET CLUB: Bob Schofield has recently taken on the role of Cricket Chairman at Ossett. He has had a successful 25 year career at Ossett and is looking to turn around the fortunes of the club. He is particularly keen to welcome anyone wishing to get involved and in particular people to help with the junior section coaches preferably.
