WAKEFIELD HOSPICE: Ossett Fundraising Group is holding its annual autumn fair in Ossett Town Hall tomorrow from 10am to 1pm. Everyone is welcome and there is no entrance fee. Please come along and help raise funds for the hospice while enjoying the many varied stalls and having a coffee and chat.

TRINITY CHURCH: Sunday, November 13  8.30pm communion; 10.30am worship for all – service of the word (no kids’ club or creche); 2.30pm Royal British Legion service in church. Saturday, November 19, 3pm Three4All – family service in church.

OSSETT FLOWER CLUB: A delightful evening of entertainment was provided by Vanessa Wellock at the October meeting of the club, when she created some stunning arrangements using ideas based on recycling for her demonstration entitled The Three Rs. The next meeting will be held on Monday, November 14 at 7:15 in Ossett Central WMC when Susan Spencer will give the demonstration. Visitors are always welcome.

CHRIST CHURCH, OSSETT: Christmas shopping evening on Friday, November 25 between 7pm and 9pm at the Christ Church Parish Centre, Vicar Lane, Ossett. A range of fantastic Christmas gifts for all the family! £1 door entry all proceeds to Resource (who help supply food to those in need around Ossett). LITTLE RASCALS: Little Rascals is for children under school age and their parents and carers. It is held every Wednesday during term time at Christ Church Parish Centre. Starting at 9.30am until about 11am.  However, if you are dropping older children off at school at 9am, then come along then.  There are lots of suitable toys in the main hall and a quiet room where little ones can play with the garage and train track and also do a craft to take home.  If you care for a little one why don’t you come along, you are very welcome. If you would like more information contact 263311.

OLD OSSETT 2012 CALENDAR: Ossett Rotary Club has launched its calendar for 2012 to raise funds for the club’s nominated charities. The calendar features photographs of old Ossett with reproductions of images of the town and the surrounding district going back to the early 1900s. The calendar is printed on high quality gloss paper and has a page and photograph for each month. It is supplied with a card envelope, suitable for mailing. Club member June Drysdale, who is leading the Rotary team on this project said: “It’s an ideal Christmas gift, just the thing to send to family and friends who no longer live locally.” The calendar, priced at £5, is now available from Ossett Newsagents in the Market Place, C&J Armitage in the Wellgate Centre and from June who can be contacted on 07885 269754.

PHOENIX ALLSTARS MAJORETTES: Has your former troupe disbanded but would still like to be part of a majorette troupe why not come along to Phoenix Allstars?
