THE KING’S WAY CHURCH: Services on Sunday, January 22 will be conducted at 10.30am by John Longbottom of Ossett. The 6pm service will be united at Christ Church, South Ossett. The additional Christmas collections donated to Books to Zimbabwe raised £301.90. The church will be open on Tuesdays from 10.30am to 12.30pm for private prayer and meditation.

INDOOR CAR BOOT SALE: The Elizabethans are holding an ‘Indoor Car Boot Sale!’ at Ossett War Memorial Community Centre on Saturday, February 4 from 10 am to 1 pm.  Tables are limited and early booking is advisable and they are £7 each.  Contact the organiser on 01924 263618 or email

WEDDING EXHIBITORS REQUIRED: Trinity Church will be holding a Wedding Fair on Sunday, April 29 between 11am and 4pm and still have a few stalls available for exhibitors at just £60.00. MARKET DAYS: Don’t forget Tuesday and Friday are market days in Ossett. You will find a vast selection of stalls both outside on the precinct and inside the Town Hall. Please make full use of these facilities as Markets are at threat if they are not used. There are also toilet facilities inside the Town Hall on market days aswell as a coffee shop which is run in aid of Wakefield Hospice.

OSSETT PROBUS CLUB: is a club for retired men which meets at the Ossett Community Centre on the Second and Fourth Wednesdays of the month at 10am to 11.30am. Members chat over a coffee or tea and then listen to a speaker on a wide variety of topics.  The Club which celebrates its 40th Anniversary this year would like to welcome new members.  Anyone interested should either contact the Secretary for further information (Tel. 01924 277227) or come along to the meetings. LITTLE RASCALS: Little Rascals is for children under school age and their parents and carers. It is held every Wednesday during term time at Christ Church Parish Centre. Starting at 9.30am until about 11am.  However, if you are dropping older children off at school at 9am, then come along then.  There are lots of suitable toys in the main hall and a quiet room where little ones can play with the garage and train track and also do a craft to take home.   If you care for a little one why don’t you come along, you are very welcome.  If you would like more information contact 263311.
