ALL SAINTS’ SUNDAY LUNCH: The PCC social events committee invites you to lunch together in the Church Institute on All Saints’ Sunday, October 30. Phone 01924 826220 for tickets, adults £6.50, children £3.50.

LUNCH CLUB: Pensioners’ Lunch Club will be held in the Church Institute Wednesday, November 2. If you would like to join the lunch club, or, volunteer to help contact Jean Wade 01924 825524.

WIVES’ GROUP: The Wives’ group meets on Wednesday, November 2 at 8pm in the Church Institute for Alaskan Adventure. For further details contact Jean Wade 01924 825524 or turn up on the night.

DEPARTED LOVED ONES: The annual All Souls’ Day requiem at Outwood Church will be on Wednesday, November 2 at 9.30am. All those whose funerals have taken place since last year will be included, but please let the vicar have a note of the names of others you would like included 01924 823150.

OUTWOOD PARISH CHURCH SERVICE DAYS AND TIMES: Today eucharist noon. Tomorrow eucharist 8am. Sunday morning prayer and eucharist 8am, parish mass 10am – all  family welcome, tea and coffee afterwards, baptisms 3pm, evening prayer 4.15pm. Tuesday eucharist noon. Wednesday eucharist 9.30am – annual requiem. Thursday eucharist 7pm.

PARKSIDE METHODIST CHURCH SERVICES: Worship on Sunday at 10.30am will be led by Rev Richard Plant. At 3pm the Remember a Life service will be led by Rev Naomi Kaiga. This is a short service for those who wish to remember relatives and friends who have died – a quiet and reflective time with an opportunity to light a candle in memory of a loved one.  All are welcome whether funerals have been held at Parkside or elsewhere. 

ANNUAL ART EXHIBITION: Art exhibition on behalf of Move Ahead (which support the brain injured and their carers) at Parkside Methodist Church tomorrow 9am-3pm. Official opening at 10am by a representative from the Hepworth Gallery. Pictures for sale, crafts, raffle, refreshments, free entry.

SAVE OUTWOOD LIBRARY: Karl did a piece for the local news on BBC1 last weekend for the campaign. A petition will be handed in to the town hall on December 2 at 12.30pm Wood Street. Please contact Karl Grubb on 01924 820264.

THANKS: Outwood Community Video would like to thank everyone who supported them at the Outwood Remembered presentation, the event raised £429 towards club funds, this will be used to fund future projects.

THANKS: The recent charity auction at The Nook Public House raised the wonderful sum of £1,403 which has gone to Help for Heroes. Heartfelt thanks go to everyone who donated goods for sale and to the people who attended on the night and spent so generously.
