MESSY CHURCH: Enjoy fun, faith, food and fellowship for all ages at Messy Church, held in the lower hall at Christchurch Lofthouse Parish Church. The next session is tomorrow, from 3.30pm-5pm. No booking required, but all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

MOUNT ROAD METHODISTS: The 10.30am family service this Sunday, January 22 at Mount Road Methodist Chapel will be led by Rev Tony Jones. On Wednesday, February 1 there will be the next Coffee and Cake meeting from 2pm. Please come along for a coffee, some cake and a friendly chat.

LOFTHOUSE METHODIST CHURCH: There will be a coffee morning at Lofthouse Methodist Church on Saturday, January 28 from 10am-noon. Admission is £1; there will be cakes, bacon sandwiches and various stalls. Everyone is welcome.

FRIENDS OF STANLEY MARSH: Join the Friends of Stanley Marsh for an hour on Saturday, January 28 as they take part in the RSPB’s annual Big Garden Bird Watch from the comfort of the Rangers hut. Binoculars will be provided and help will be on hand to identify birds. Please meet at the Rangers hut, in the Stanley Marsh car park for a 10am start. Everyone welcome. Further information from

ST PETER’S CHURCH: On Saturday, January 28 from 6.30pm there will be a special event called ‘Wok around the World’. Bring an international dish to share, and enjoy friendship and chat. There will be a speaker who will be talking about our link Diocese in Tanzania. No booking needed; please bring your own drinks.

LOFTHOUSE GATE PRIMARY SCHOOL: The PTA is organising a shopping event on Thursday, February 9 from 7pm-9pm at Lofthouse Gate Primary School. Refreshments will be available and there will also be a raffle. The money raised will be used to help buy extra IT equipment for the school.
