MULBERRY CLUB: The Mulberry club is a fun activity based club for youngsters with disabilities, held in the sports hall at Havercroft and Ryhill Sports and Youth Centre. The next meeting will be on Monday November 7th, the session for 7 to 11 year olds is from 6 – 7pm, whilst the 12 to 20 year olds meet from 7 – 8pm, cost is £1.50.

FLOWER ARRANGING: A course in festive seasonal flower arranging will be available at Havercroft and Ryhill Community Learning Centre, in two sessions on Thursday December 8th and 15th, from 3.15 – 3.30pm.  The sessions are £11 or free for those receiving certain benefits.  Contact the centre on 01226 727824 or e-mail for more information.  The Centre is online on Facebook or at

WINTER FAIR: A winter fair will be held at the St James Centre, Ryhill on Saturday November 19. There will be food, stalls, a tombola and a prize draw. From 11am – 2pm.

NOTTON BONFIRE: One of the region’s biggest fireworks displays returns to Notton on November 5th, at Notton Village Hall sports field. There will be a funfair, bar and tasty bonfire night food. The bonfire will be lit at 7pm, with fireworks at 8pm. Tickets are £3.50 for adults and £2.50 for kids and are available from Notton Post Office – they sell out fast! All proceeds go to local charities.

COMMUNITY CENTRE: Tomorrow is the annual bonfire and spectacular firework display at Walton Community Centre, with hot food being served. The fire will be lit at 6pm with the fireworks at 7.30pm, following the display there will be a family disco in the concert room with DJ Dave Sounds.

REMEMBRANCE: The Walton service of remembrance will be on Sunday November 13, meeting at the War Memorial on Shay Lane at 10.30am. There will be a laying of the wreaths, followed by a service at Walton Methodist Church.

WALTON METHODIST CHURCH: The preacher on Sunday at 10.30am is Revd Michael Jones. On Tuesday, Open Door Coffee Morning is from 10 - 11.30am, and Craft Class is from 9.30am - noon on Wednesday. COFFEE MORNING: Tomorrow Walton British Legion are holding a Coffee Morning at Walton Methodist Church from 10 - 11.30am. All proceeds will go to the Poppy Appeal.
