WRENTHORPE VILLAGE SINGERS: If you enjoy singing you will enjoy the Wrenthorpe Village Singers. Come along to the first meeting of this new village activity which is open to all who love singing for pleasure which will be in the village hall on Thursday February 2, 1.45-3pm. Some time will be spent on discussing how the group should be organised and what you would like to sing; music of the sixties, songs from the shows or folk songs. THANK YOU:   A big thank you to all who supported our night, both turning out to sing and to those very generous people of Wrenthorpe who donated a total of £161.83.  Also a big thank must go to Janet Stamp who braved another night out in Kirkhamgate to raise even more money of £31.44.  So, a grand total of £193.27. If anyone missed us on the night that they could still donate to Candlelighters :The Candlelighters Office, Ward 79, Level C, Clarendon Wing, Leeds General Infirmary, Great George Street, Leeds, LS1 2EX or by visiting the web site

ENGLISH COUNTRY DANCING: New members welcome to come to The Village Hall, Fridays 7.30-9.30pm to learn English Country Dancing with Carla and music. For more information please ring 01924 377293.

FAMILY QUIZ NIGHT: Wrenthorpe Scouts are holding a family quiz night Saturday January 28, 7-10pm. Entry for anyone over 15 is £1 and a pie and pea supper is £4.50, hot dogs for children are available for £1.50. Tea, coffee and squash are included in the supper price, all food must be ordered and paid for in advance. More information is on the website, or please contact me on the above number. Places are limited and all money must be paid by January 25, this can be taken to any of the Group’s meetings at St Anne’s church hall on Wednesday 6-8.30pm or Thursday 7-9pm.

CREEPY CRITTERS: Come and meet ‘Christine’s Creepy Critters’ at Wrenthorpe Village Hall on Sunday January 22 from 2pm until 4pm. The doors will be open from 1.45pm and admission is £1.50. The price includes a talk, hands on experience, refreshments and activities. All welcome but sorry no unaccompanied children will be admitted.

MUSICAL EVENING: There will be an evening of acoustic songs at the Methodist Hall February 4 at 7.30 in aid of the Cross Project. Tickets are £5 and can be reserved by ringing 01924 370302 or can be bought on the night.

ST ANNE’S: There will be a united service with Wrenthorpe Methodists on Sunday morning at 10.00am at St Anne’s church. Andrew Stead will be preaching and light refreshments will be served at the end of the service. The young families network will meet at 3.00pm on Sunday afternoon.  On Wednesday Holy Communion is at 9.15am and will be followed by refreshments with the church remaining open until noon. 

WRENTHORPE METHODIST CHURCH: There will not be a service on Sunday morning as we are joining our friends at St. Anne’s at 10am.
