Community - Sharlston

COFFEE MORNING: St Luke’s Church will hold a coffee morning in Sharlston Community Centre tomorrow Saturday, September 10 from 10am to 11.30am. Stalls include raffle, cakes, tombola, new and second-hand goods. Proceeds in aid of church funds.

GOLDEN OLDIE MUSIC: The Villa Club will hold a golden oldie music night and karaoke on Saturday, September 10 and every second Saturday. You don’t have to sing just come along and listen to the oldies’ music.

SHARLSTON ROVERS: There were mixed results last week. There was a good win for the first team 42-22. A bad result for the A team going with a depleted team and losing 6-60. Next Saturday the first team are at home to Queensbury and the A team are away to Brighouse Rangers. Both kick off at 2.30pm. In the clubhouse on Saturday night there will be Little Miss 60s show – a tribute to the 60s.

SHARLSTON PHARMACY: The pharmacy will be moving soon into its new premises at the old Sharlston Hotel.

CLAIRVOYANCY EVENING: On Friday, September 16 there will be a clairvoyancy evening at Sharlston Rugby Club in aid of Prince of Wales Hospice. There will be private readings from 6pm to 7.30pm at a cost of £15 and from 7.30pm onwards a clairvoyancy evening at a cost of £10.
