Concern for missing Knottingley man

Police say they are becoming increasingly concerned for a missing man from Knottingley.

Carl Edwards, 47, of Wentcliffe Road, was last seen at midnight on Monday, September 22 in the Pontefract area.

He is described as white and around 5ft 10ins tall. He was wearing a grey hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms and was carrying a red sports holdall.

DI Viv Segerius-Allick of the Wakefield CID, said: “We have concerns for Carl and are appealing for him or anyone who sees him to get in contact as a matter of urgency.

“Officers are currently investigating allegations that he was involved in a series of disturbances in the Knottingley area on Monday evening but the priority at the moment is to find him and make sure he is safe and well.

“I would urge anyone who sees Carl to contact police immediately rather than approach him.”
