And here are just a handful of incidents they've dealt with in and around Wakefield this month, which they have tweeted about.

Luckily the driver escaped with only minor injuries considering a piece of metal smashed through the windscreen.
On Queens Drive, the driver of this car thought it would be good to drive to Whitby - 3 times over the drink drive limit.
Leeds Road, Robin Hood. Two vehicle crash. Luckily only one driver involved with minor injuries. Driver was under the influence.
Car crashed into a telegraph pole. No injuries. Driver three times over drink drive limit and was arrested.
Speed checks conducted with one rider at nearly double the limit. All processed and await court or conditional offers.
Car was stopped due to expired MOT and no insurance. Driver found to also only have provisional licence. Vehicle seized and driver reported.
No MOT and a quick check of the vehicle found that a brake pad was totally missing. It must have made a heck of a noise under braking.
Driver failed to negotiate the slip road and crashed. Driver found to be drunk and provided evidential sample of 110, legal limit being 35.
At junction 42, this vehicle was found driving in darkness with no rear lights and no brake lights working. Vehicle immobilized until repaired.
There were long delays due to one vehicle RTC which was towing a caravan.
