A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police confirmed that officers had come across a road traffic collision on Whitwood Common Lane at around 7.05pm yesterday (Tuesday, April 21).

The incident involved a cyclist and a green Mercedes Sprinter van.

An ambulance was requested, and the cyclist was taken to Pinderfields Hospital with serious injuries.
