Police have released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to in connection with a charity bike theft.

Darren Walker, who has raised thousands of pounds for good causes, had his beloved bicycle stolen from outside his work at K and N Drinks Logistics, on Tuscany Way, Normanton.

The theft happened sometime between 7.45pm and 8pm on Friday, June 21.

The CCTV images show two men on a motorbike outside the premises at the time of the incident.

And police want to speak to them or anyone who recognises them.

Mr Walker, 36, of MacKinnon Avenue, Normanton, was born with only one arm and his £2,600 bike had been adapted especially for him so he could use both brakes by only gripping one handle.

The theft has deprived him of his only form of transport to work and means he has had to cancel forthcoming rides which he had planned for charities including Wakefield Hospice.

Anyone with any information should contact Normanton neighbourhood police team on 01924 295453 or 101.
