Drink driver jailed after blowing two massive alcohol breath-test readings in the space of two weeks

A drink driver who was caught twice in two weeks and blew huge breath-test readings on both occasions has been jailed.

Donna Rubery blew 134 mcgs of alcohol in 100 mls of breath- nearly four times over the legal limit- after she was pulled over while driving a Vauxhall Corsa on Bradford Road in Wakefield on April 24.

She was also found to have no insurance.

Then, on May 7, she was stopped by police on Featherstone Lane, Featherstone and was asked to provide another breath test after colliding with a vehicle.

This time she blew 160 mcgs, which is nearly five times over the limit.

The legal limit is 35 mcgs.

Appearing at Leeds Magistrates' Court this week, Rubery, 40, of Featherstone Lane, Featherstone admitted two counts of drink driving, driving without insurance and assaulting a female.

She was jailed for 16 weeks, banned from the road for 56 months and told to pay £128 costs.
