European arrest warrants issued for nine fugitives hiding out in West Yorkshire

European arrest warrant have been issued for nine people who are trying to escape justice by hiding in West Yorkshire.

Police are hunting seven Eastern European men, one Eastern European woman and one British man who has links to Pakistan.

They are wanted on bench warrants issued by the City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

And it is thought most of them have fled to West Yorkshire.

Sup Int Pat Casserly said: “We are doing everything in our power to bring these people before the justice system, investing a great deal of resources to protect the communities we serve from threat. We are proud that we have one of the highest arrest figures for European Arrest Warrants.

“Some of these people have already been found guilty or convicted of serious crimes in their native country - they have not come to West Yorkshire to reform or rehabilitate rather to hide from justice. I am appealing directly to anyone who knows where any of these people are to contact police.”

The nine wanted fugitives are:

Andras Angyal, 45, from Hungary,who was arrested on suspicion of theft and fraud. He failed to appear at the City of Westminster Magistrates Court on August 8 last year. He has links to Dewsbury and Heckmondwike.

The following have all failed to surrender for extradition.

Patryk Dola, 25, from Poland, was jailed for two years and 10 months for three assaults and two thefts of motor vehicles. He has links to Leeds.

Szabolcs Domotor, 31, from Hungary, was arrested on suspicion of attempted theft of a motor vehicle. He has links to Dewsbury.

Julius Dzudza, 33, from Czech Republic, was jailed for 18 months for driving whilst disqualified in his home country. He has links to Wakefield.

Rafal Mieczyslaw Karczmar, 31, from Poland, was jailed for two years in his home country for 40 burglary offences and three arsons. He has links to Bradford.

Mimi Mirga, 24, from Poland, was jailed for two years, three months and two days for a knife point robbery. She has links to Harehills in Leeds and Ireland.

Wojciech Kamil Podolak, 31, from Poland, was jailed for two years for robbery in his home country. He has links to Bradford.

Jaroslaw Sobczak, 45, from Poland, was jailed for two years for armed robbery in his home country. He has links to Huddersfield.

Asif Alam, 41, from Britian, was arrested on suspicion of tax evasion in Germany. He has links to Bradford and Pakistan.
