Five suspected illegal immigrants found in back of lorry

Five suspected illegal immigrants were arrested after being found in the back of a lorry.

Police were called to International Produce Limited on Foxbridge Way, Normanton Industrial Estate at around 4pm on Monday.

The company called police after hearing noises coming from the back of one of their vehicles.

Police found five men inside and they were arrested on suspicion of entering the UK illegally.

All five were taken to Normanton Havertop Police Station and remain in custody.

The driver of the lorry was also arrested on suspicion of facilitating entry to the UK.

His vehicle was seized by UK Border Agency staff for forensic examination.
