Jury discharged in trial of West Yorkshire PCSO accused of downloading sadistic images of babies being sexually abused

A JURY has been discharged in the trial of a West Yorkshire Police Community Support Officer accused of downloading disturbing sex images of children.

Jonathan Plummer is accused seven offences relating to the possession and distribution of child sex images and possessing extreme pornographic images.

The jury was discharged last week by judge Mustaq Khokhar on the fourth day of the hearing at Leeds Crown Court.

Plummer, 33, will face a new trial on April 21.

During the trial opening, the jury heard how Plummer was a serving police community support officer with West Yorkshire Police at the time of the alleged offending.

The court was told he accessed and distributed illegal images under the name ‘vile degrader’

Lousie Reevell, prosecuting, said police received intelligence linkingPlummer to an indecent image of a child in October 2017.

The officer was arrested and cautioned in August 2018 and his home on Bradford Road, Wakefield, was searched.

Plummer, of Langdale Avenue, Outwood, pleads not guilty to one count distributing indecent images of a child, three counts of making indecent photographs of a child, one court possessing prohibited images of a child and one count possession of extreme pornographic images.
