Man attacked with wheel brace in Dewsbury


A man needed hospital treatment after being attacked with a wheel brace in Dewsbury last night (Thursday).

The 39-year-old victim had been walking down a pathway near Victoria Crescent, Westborough, Dewsbury, at around 7.30pm last night when he was attacked.

The suspect made demands for the man’s property and the victim was left with an open wound to his head and broken teeth.

Two members of the public raised the alarm and the man was taken to Dewsbury and District Hospital.

The suspect, an 18-year-old male, was later arrested at his home and remains in custody in Dewsbury.
