Man in serious condition after stabbing in Wakefield

A man has been arrested after a stabbing in Wakefield.

Police were called to College Grove Road around 2am (Friday, August 7) to a report of a man with a stab wound.

The man, 38, was taken by ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary where his condition is understood to be serious but not life-threatening.

Police have cordoned off the area and arrested a 29-year-old man. He remains in custody.
