Two men have been arrested in connection with the investigation and have been released on police bail. A 23-year-old man was arrested from the Longfield Road address and a 20-year-old man was taken into custody from the High Street property. Both these men were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

Detective Sergeant Guy Shackleton, from the Kirklees District Quartz Team, said: “This was a significant recovery of class A drugs that would have otherwise been sold on the streets of West Yorkshire.

“This type of action demonstrates the priority and success local police give to tackling the scourge of drugs and making our local communities safer places to live and work.”

Police carried out a raid at the property in Longfield Road on Monday and found the drugs along with digital weighing scales and other paraphenalia.

The 23-year-old man, who is from Mirfield, was subsequently arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
