Missing man Damion Vernon - police release images of car he was last seen in driving to Wakefield

Detectives searching for a man who has been missing for almost a month have released images of the car he was last seen driving to Wakefield in,

Damion Vernon, 32, was reported missing on Tuesday, December 9.

Detectives say he drove to Wakefield, from his Bridlington home, on Monday, December 8.

His route took him along the A164 to Howden, then onto the M62 leaving at Junction 31, onto the A655, turning left at the traffic lights onto the A645 and into the BP filling Station.

He then headed back out onto the A645 towards Wakefield.

He continued towards Wakefield on the A638 Doncaster Road and into Elm Tree Road, in the Belle Vue area of the city.

He left the Vauxhall Corsa on Sycamore Street and walked up an alleyway between the houses.

Police said he expected to return home to Bridlington but his family have not heard from him since.

Humberside Police Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Baldwin said: “I am keen for any information from people who may have seen this vehicle along this journey but who have not put the missing person enquiry together with it.

“Someone must have seen this vehicle travelling between Bridlington and Wakefield on the 8 December and I am asking for them to call us with any information they might have”.
