Orgreave festival 30 years since miners’ strike
Campaigners seeking an inquiry into events at the Orgreave coking plant are holding the festival close to where police clashed with striking miners at a mass picket on June 18, 1984.
Ninety-five miners were arrested at the picket, but subsequent court cases against them collapsed.

Hide AdThe Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign is calling for a full public inquiry into policing at the picket.
Today’s event at Catcliffe Recreation Ground, near Rotherham, runs from 11am-6pm.
Entertainment includes theatre, live music, an exhibition, acoustic tent, children’s activities, food and real ale.
